Leah, I'm so sorry I had to miss your retreat. It sounds like it was a fulfilling and healing experience for everyone. Your beautiful photos and inspiring words help ease the pain of this time we now live in that is filled with the deepest sorrow, and yes, anger. Thank you.
Thanks, Donna. Yes, anger seems most appropriate - especially when you see people who are supposed to represent us making a "thumbs up" sign as they stand in front of prisoners lock in prison in El Salvador without due process. It's all so hard to hold.
Thank you Leah, a delightful wander in a foreign land! This line is sitting with me "In a forest, death does not have the final word" There is something there for me today I think! xoxo
Your words and photos are at once bracing and comforting in these needy times. We can many of us relate to dogwood struggling to thrive while being strangled by stronger forces. An image of beauty and resilience I will carry forward. Thank you for that. Curious...where was your retreat?
Everyone says this is the most beautiful spring ever here in DC. Every tree is blossoming to its fullest with colors that take the breath away. Nature is nourishing us with its beauty, a living solace for weary hearts. Praise God!
So many familiar friends in your post: John O’Donohue, nurse logs, and a dogwood tree. After 15 years on our farm, only last year did we find a dogwood tree, completely engulfed by a tangled mess. After liberating it, we are looking forward to seeing if it will bloom this spring. Such beauty, if only we will take the time to look. Thank you for the encouragement to do so. 🙏
Thank you, Diana. I'm glad that you and I share friends in common - and especially happy for the dogwood tree you've disentangled. May it flourish and may you enjoy its company!
Thank-you. Spring has been especially beautiful here in Buckinghamshire, England. But perhaps it hasn’t. Perhaps it’s always been this way - I’ve just noticed it properly. All the best 🙏
Thanks, Tim. It's good to reconnect. There's something about the spectacularly stunning greens that call to us, I think. Glad to hear that you're relishing the beauty there. We all need it!

Thank you Leah, it is so enlightening to listen to your inspiring wisdom. We experienced the same on our retreat last weekend.
Nature is teaching.
Nature is healing.
Nature is home....
Be safe.
Thanks, Daniel. Yes! So grateful for nature’s teachings and healing.

Thank you, Riley. I appreciate your support. Our retreat was at Dayspring Retreat Center in Germantown, MD. It’s a lovely space.

It’s like creation is encouraging us. ❤️

Natural beauty,
despite and along the rest.
Present, persisting.
Indeed. And I hope you are caught by beauty today.
Your posts’ words, photos
inform, inspire, instigate.

Oh lovely. Thanks for sharing your work. I’m now following. 😊
Oh, welcome, Leah!
In words, as in earth and soul,
cross-pollination.
